Terms of use
Last updated November 4, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and RidgeMate, run by Thad Jacobs in Lancaster, South Carolina (“RidgeMate,” “we,” “us”), for using the RidgeMate app and website. By creating an account or using RidgeMate, you agree to them. If you sign up on behalf of a company, you're agreeing for that company and confirming you're allowed to.
Your account
- You sign in with a code sent to your email. Keep your email account secure — anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
- You must be at least 18 and use RidgeMate for legitimate business purposes.
- Company owners decide who joins their company and what role they have, and are responsible for the people they invite.
Trials, billing and cancelling
- New accounts get a 14-day free trial. No card is needed to start.
- After the trial, the Solo plan is $19 per month and the Team plan is $39 per person per month, unless we've agreed on a different price in writing. Prices don't include any taxes that apply.
- Plans are month to month. You can cancel any time; you'll keep access until the end of the month you've paid for. We don't give refunds for partial months.
- If we change prices, we'll tell account owners at least 30 days ahead.
Your data
- You own the information you put into RidgeMate. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you.
- You're responsible for having the right to collect and use homeowner information you add, and for following the laws that apply to you — including do-not-call, do-not-knock and solicitation rules, and the rules for texting customers.
- You can export your data or delete your account at any time. Our privacy policy explains what happens when you do.
Acceptable use
Don't use RidgeMate to break the law, harass anyone, send spam, upload things you don't have the right to share, try to get into other people's accounts or data, or interfere with the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Storm, map and measurement information
Storm reports, weather alerts, maps, routes, pitch readings and calculators are tools to help you work — not guarantees. Storm reports come from the National Weather Service and the public and don't prove that any particular roof was damaged. Always inspect and measure for yourself before quoting or filing anything.
The service
- We work hard to keep RidgeMate running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
- We may improve, change or stop features. If we ever shut RidgeMate down, we'll give account owners at least 30 days' notice and time to export their data.
- RidgeMate's name, design and software belong to us. Using the app doesn't give you ownership of them.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, RidgeMate isn't liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost data or indirect damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using RidgeMate and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or isn't paid, and we'll try to give notice first when we reasonably can.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Carolina. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell account owners. Questions: support@ridgemate.app.
