Privacy policy
Last updated November 4, 2026
RidgeMate is a sales app for roofing reps and roofing companies, run by Thad Jacobs in Lancaster, South Carolina (“RidgeMate,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information RidgeMate keeps, why, who can see it, and how to delete it. If anything here is unclear, email support@ridgemate.app.
The short version
- We keep what you put into the app so the app can work: your account, your leads, your photos and your team's messages.
- We don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and we don't use tracking or advertising analytics.
- Your company's data is visible only to people in your company, according to their role.
- You can export your data and delete your account at any time from Settings.
What we collect
| Information | What it is | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Your email address, name, phone number (optional) and your role in a company | To sign you in with emailed codes and show your name to your team |
| Leads and pins | Addresses, map locations, homeowner names, phone numbers and emails, statuses, notes, follow-up dates, roof, insurance, estimate and sale details, and the history of door knocks | This is the work you do in the app |
| Photos and documents | Inspection photos, markups, documents and homeowner signatures you add to a lead | To keep them with the lead and build reports |
| Location | Your phone's location while the app is open and you use the map, log a knock or plan a route. Each knock records where it was logged. | To show you on the map, place pins and order routes. We don't track your location in the background. |
| Team activity | Messages, announcements, lead conversations, reactions, knocking sessions (doors, contacts and appointments counts) and leaderboard stats | For team chat, leaderboards and reports |
| Notifications | If you turn notifications on, a notification address for your device and which kinds you want | To send messages and reminders to your device |
| Settings | Preferences such as colors, goals and commission rates | To set the app up the way you like |
Some of this is information about homeowners, not you. If you add a homeowner's details, you're responsible for having a legitimate business reason to keep them, and for honoring their requests (for example, deleting their information or not contacting them again).
Who can see it
- Solo accounts: only you.
- Companies: reps see their own leads and the Open Leads board. On the team map, reps can see that a door was knocked but not the homeowner's details. Owners, managers and office staff can see all of the company's leads.
- Private messages are visible only to the two people in the conversation. Managers can't read them.
- Other companies can never see your company's data.
- We can access stored data only to keep the service running, fix a problem you ask us to look at, or if the law requires it.
Services we use
RidgeMate relies on a few outside services. They receive only what they need to do their job:
- Supabase stores the database, photos and sign-ins, and runs the notification sender.
- Our email provider delivers sign-in and email-change codes.
- Apple, Google and Mozilla push services deliver notifications to devices that turned them on.
- Map and location services: map imagery from Esri (and Mapbox, if you add your own key); OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service turns addresses into map locations and back; the OSRM routing service works out driving routes. These receive the addresses or map coordinates involved, not your name.
- Weather data comes from the National Weather Service (weather.gov) and Iowa Environmental Mesonet; they receive the map area or location you're looking at.
- Google Fonts delivers the app's typeface.
- When you tap to drive, call or text, your phone's Maps, Phone or Messages app takes over under its own privacy policy.
Keeping and deleting data
- We keep your data while your account is open.
- Delete my account (Settings → Account) deletes your sign-in, your solo account and your messages. If you're part of a company, your open leads go back to that company's Open Leads board and your sold jobs stay with the company, because they're the company's records.
- An owner can delete the whole company (Settings → Delete this company), which permanently removes all of its leads, photos, messages and members.
- Removed data may remain in backups for up to 30 days before it's gone for good.
- You can export your leads and pins (CSV), map pins (Google Earth) or a full backup with photos at any time.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with our hosting provider. Database rules decide who can read each record, so one company can't reach another's data. No system is perfect; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll tell you.
Children
RidgeMate is a work tool for adults. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
You can view and correct your information in the app, turn notifications off, export your data, or delete your account. If you'd like a copy of what we hold about you, or want us to delete something you can't remove yourself, email support@ridgemate.app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we'll honor them.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and let account owners know in the app or by email.
